We met up with some friends at the Irish pub in Shibuya last wednesday. E/M-san brought us Easter bunnies from Germany and I'm on my way to gobbling the third, oishiiiii! Y-san is always giving us souvenirs, she is one of the nicest person I know! ...not because of the chocolates, senbei ... well she is just a charming person all around! anyway, this time it was some crunchy snacks from Kyoto!
That pub is probably one of my favourite places to hang out. On the number of occasions I was there, there were live performers, and to my untrained ears, they sounded awesome! We were sitting way off the performers on wednesday but I thought I heard some fiddle!
I had warm salad with fish and chips and fuzzy navel for the first round of drinks. I'd love to have fuzzy navel again. It was peach, orange juice? lemon? and with a bit of vodka I think? Well I'm not much of a drinker. I only had two glasses of water after, a few sips of cyder from the others and later on ice cocoa at moss burger.
We left for home after 11:30 pm and bumped intoU-san on the train. I've not seen her since Dec so it was great to catch up.
I was tired, I had blisters on my feet (new shoes) and in need of a shower (uncharacteristically warm day for spring) by the time we arrived home, but it was all worth it. A good day it was!
