defying the odds!

Hi all,

I've not written for awhile I know. I've been busy with the olympics you see, but I will surely write some updates as soon as the games are over. I'm enjoying myself so far, especially the swimming events. Lots of disappointments too, especially when I put my whole soul into a team or participant just to see them end up in a second place or third or not at all, still, I know they have done their best and I will always support them regardless of whether they win or not. I was just reading the football news and I came across this. A very moving and inspiring story, I salute the Iraq football team, and I really hope they will continue to win. As I was reading, I imagined what people in the country must be going through, struggling to survive everyday amidst bombs and gunfires. You have to admire what the football team has achieved, a symbol of hope in times of troubles. I couldn't help crying, and I realise how bless I am to have so much in life. Words can't express my feelings, go Iraq go! this news article is taken from the BBC news website at http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3579084.stm

my theme song for this week

Hi all,

Nothing much going on over here. I've been reading a lot. I finished "the curse of the kings" by Victoria Holt, and now reading "in his image" a science fiction about the cloning of Jesus Christ. Quite interesting and very imaginative. I am now at the part where the cloned Christ is now a grown man and working in the FAO section of the UN, actually the director, at the age of 30. The Un has undergona a total re-organising in structure and the 5 permanent big 5 are out of the picture. It's the new world order with 10 representatives in the security council representing 10 regions of the world. Neat huh?
