The first dream

Before you came, we were here. Long after you depart, we will remain. But face to face we shall never meet.

Once we were friends to all men, but madness came into the world and divided our peoples. Sorrow and sufferings were visited on both men and faer. In the end, we were left with no choice. We retreated from the company of men to save our people - and the world.

Our hearts were heavy with sorrow, for we loved men dearly. As the centuries passed and mankind dismissed our memory as myth and legend we mourned still deeper. Not all men forget, though. Some few remember. And through those few we let the truth be told.
